The first Howth Triathlon will take place on 17th July 2011 and will consist of a sprint and Olympic distance event. This race expects to attract triathletes from far and wide due to the unique course. The swim will start from Ireland’s Eye where competitors will have been ferried out on boats to the island. This is similar to the Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon in San Francisco. Competitors will then have to complete four laps of a gruelling bike circuit which includes a 2km climb through Howth village to the summit.
The Bike Hub is delighted to be involved with this event. For further information, contact Paul at The Bike Hub on 01 8397888. See our events page for more details.
